Father's Day 2014 on Lago Gambetta

June 26, 2014  •  1 Comment

There's a place I know. . .It's only about an hour from my house. It belongs to my cousin Jenny's father-in-law Jack and his lovely bride Georgetta. Jenny describes it as, "It's like going somewhere special, but it's only an hour away."

And that it is.

We've started calling it Lago Gambetta. There's a little bit of George Clooney in that description, as he has a place on Lago diComo. You can look it up. Anyway. Jack and Georgetta have opened their lovely home in the woods and all it has to offer to us for Father's Day for the past six years or so. Here's what you see as you arrive down the gravel driveway. Or, in this case, as you are on a sunset cruise on the party barge.

And here's the view from the fire pit next to the house and as you approach the dock. That's the party barge on the right.

Here are some shots from our aforementioned sunset cruise. Our Captain was Captain Jack. Of course.

Cheers to my mom and dad, who were not able to make it, and I apologize for missing so many great pictures earlier in the day, but here are some of the wonderful moments I was able to capture.
