I've said it before and I'll say it again. I'm the lucky one.
I don't know how it happened. One minute, Mom and Dad's friends, Bill and Sandy Gober are inviting me to visit them in their awesome apartment in Atlanta, and the next day, practically, I have a passport and I'm flying to Zurich to stay with them in Luzern. What? I know, right? I'm so grateful to Sandy and Bill for so many things, for so many years of friendship and for laughs, for including me as part of their family, for introducing me to their wonderful and generous kids and their families, for taking care of me. And for this life-changing trip.
What a trip it was. Exciting. Empowering. Entertaining. Eye-opening. Eeeeegads!
There are lots of stories, as you might imagine, but in the meantime, enjoy some photos. It might be interesting to note that this was in 2009 before I had my "big camera", so all of these images were taken on a point-and-shoot camera. I think I need to go back with the big camera. What do you think?
